TOP TEN TIPS
Bride
1. Ensure your wedding outfit is of your choice – if tradition states you must wear what the in-laws give you: be adamant to go shopping with them.
2. Shoes must be comfortable, so be sure that they have been worn in to before the big day. Do not exceed the expectations on the height of heels always choose a height you are accustomed to.
3. Avoid using unfamiliar products on your face or body – this will eliminate the risk of allergic reactions.
4. Get plenty of sleep and rest before your big day, make it a habit to also drink plenty of water which will rejuvenate your skin and will keep you hydrated.
5. Don’t get stressed with letting others rule your day – after all it is your big day and not theirs!!
6. Always use good quality Mehndi which has been tried and tested on your hands/feet. It is recommended that Mehndi is applied at least
48hrs before your big day to achieve the maximum colour.
7. Insist your beautician and stylist arrives in plenty of time to ensure hair and make-up is PERFECT and to what you expected it to be!!!! Most important of all make sure they actually arrive.
8. Take advice off selected few friends/relatives to be present whilst getting ready…….as they say too many cooks spoil the broth.
9. Check list – ensure you have all your essentials that you require for the big day close at hand and easy to access.
10. Finally and most importantly ENJOY the day – You spend your entire life building up to this beautiful and special day so don’t let anything/anyone spoil your precious moment.
Groom
1. Make sure you arrive on time – it’s the bride that should be keeping you waiting, not the other way round.
2. Wear your own wedding suit and ensure it is tailored to your specification.
3. If your friends insist on a stag night ensure that you have a night out a week before your big day.
4. Try to avoid using new and unfamiliar products on your face/body – men are more likely to experiment on new products before their big day this could cause an embarrassing allergic reaction.
5. Eliminate some of the stress by letting others handle the major issues surrounding your big day.
6. Make an effort to find out what the bride is wearing and co-ordinate accordingly.
7. Wear comfortable shoes which have been worn in to before your big day.
8. Those who wish to do something extravagant to their hair, are advised to have a trial run a month before the big day, this gives you ample time to change the style if required.
9. Preparation is everything – plan down to the smallest detail!!
